How many of you are partaking in Socktoberfest? I’m gonna give it a shot. I have 3.25 socks planned (hopefully finishing one today). As long as I finish one pair, I will be happy!

I have a scarf to do in October but I do have 2 pairs of socks on needles (1/2way through 1st sock, each) that I could try to finish. And another pair in my head that need doing.

After all, we all know that handknit socks are like sex for the feet. So we’ll see.

Wonderful thing about being a family of knitters.  All the gorgeous knits (and warm feet) are belonging to us.  Mauahahahahaha

I’ve been knitting, bc it’s Knitting Crunch Time and I’m going to be knitting ever minute until Christmas, when I’m not tattooing or driving or pooping.  I’m not even going to be sleeping.  And I might not even have time to shower.

So if it looks like I’m doing nothing, just look again at my hands and see if they’re tangled up in string.

I’ll just be sitting over here, knitting.

I hate the way they look.

I hate the way they fit.

I hate the method of construction.

I hate the fact that almost all writers of knitting patterns assume that the rest of us want to knit loathsome heelflap socks.

Oh I hate them.  I hate the way they feel on my feet, too.  I’ve had heelflap socks knitted for me as gifts and can’t bear to wear them (more than once).  I never want to learn to knit them.

I knit toe-up (in case I run out of yarn) with a mini-gusset (this adds rows to the short-row, which keeps the heels from pulling down at the back) and short-row heels.  It’s so easy and fast, I never want to do it any other way.
