If anybody has an answer for this, I’d like to know it.
Our cat D.O.G is a good, fast mouser IF he can get to where mice are.
We had a nice little family of mice move into the gas stove between the layers of metal of the oven & stove top. The weirdest thing about this is that I cook for a small army every day, use the oven almost every day and clean the stovetop every day. I started putting traps behind the broiler drawer and caught 5 mice but still don’t think I got them all.
Now there are mice nesting in our AC ductwork under our floors. The ducts are soft circular insulated tubes. I’m seeing bits of insulation being blown up to the floor grates (making me think I’m going to have to crawl under the house and find holes in the ducts which will have to be fixed before heating season). Also with my super canine sense of smell, I can smell them when we use the AC and it comes on to run.
Hard to put traps down the grates into the ducts because they go down about arm’s reach & then curve. If I put D-Con down there, there’s a good chance mice will die and decay in the ducts and blow THAT smell through my house.
Any suggestions or solutions?
