I forgot to post that I finished the Kaa Forever scarf, about a week ago.
Here’s a pic.

Once upon a time there were a pair of gloves called RedChikara Smokes Too Much. They were black and purple and 3-fingers-free for iPhone use or the inevitable tobacco craving.
Alas, they were too loose. And though they were quite utilitarian (his word), yanno when a person shovels snow those 3 fingers get a little cold. Just sayin’.
So here we have RedChikara Likes a Snugger Fit (really? Some guy *doesn’t*?). Yes I am aware the stripes are not the same. I’m an artist, ya know. And also kinda easily distracted. [And yes, I know the date is a day off on my camera, still.] These have buttonholes mid-finger and little spots of Velcro to hold the fingertips back out of the way, so that they’ll still be “utilitarian.”
Some people are SO spoiled.

Progress so far.

Insane Clown Sock, take 2 - after I had to rip the whole work out & start over.
60% Merino wool, 30% bamboo, 10% nylon. Hand dyed by me.
(Taken with instagram)

Insane Clown handknitted socks on their intended recipient
(Hand dyed 60/30/10 Merino wool/bamboo/nylon)
Military memorial for his dad, brother in law and uncle. I didn’t do the top piece.

Something bit or stung me. The nerve.

The punk knitter went to church

Almost done, and almost done for the night, too.

Finished!
Now on to the NEXT project…
This morning my daughter, who is nearly four, saw the stretch marks on my hips and stomach. She ran her hands over them and asked what they were.
“I got them when I grew up,” I said, “and a few more when I had you.” I grinned down at her. “They’re my stripes. You’ll get stripes too when you grow up.”
She was overjoyed. “Really?”
I think she’s in her room now, pretending to be a tiger.
Truth.
