Today I’ve been useless
I’ve looked up how to change out the thermostat on my car but because the directions include removing the cooling fan AND alternator belt AND an air dam to get to it, I think I need help. While the weather has been cold, driving the 13 miles to work wasn’t a problem, but with the weather being warmer, Wolf doesn’t want me to drive to work and possibly damage the new engine in the car until I get it fixed.
Artemas can’t come help because his car is dead right now too. Tomorrow Wolf works 11-2 and 5-8pm so he could take me to work at 11, but when I get off at 5 I’d have to walk the 3 miles to where he works and hang out til he gets off. (I need the exercise, true… but the thought isn’t appealing after 6 hours of being on my feet already)
During the night it seems like Zaphod pulled up his tether stake. This morning he was in the yard with no chain and no stake. Here’s the kicker, even if he pulled it up & got it caught on something in his travels, the chain was hooked to his collar with a c-screw. He can’t get that undone. So that means a human had to unscrew it. People know that if a pitbull is found loose, animal control will pick it up and put it down usually right away. So even though Zaphod is harmless, I wonder if someone let him off the screw, hoping he’d get picked up and euthanized.
So far I’ve sat on the couch and not even knitted but the inactivity has felt good.
Now however I have to drive my car (I can do it, it’s only 3 miles) over to TSC to get a new stakeout, chain, c-screw, and a bag of cement to anchor the stakeout into the ground. And then go do it.
Sometimes I wish only one problem would hit at a time. :o/
Tonight’s dinner is pork chops with au gratin potatoes and asparagus, so that’s something to look forward to.
Now to get dressed and venture forth…
